Another tasting day at A.S. Decouverte du Vin , in the 14 th arrondissement in Paris . A.S. stands for Alain Segelle , as he is the creator of all this . This is taking place at the CIDD location , 30 rue de la sabliere (33 (0)1 45 45 44 20) . The CIDD is an institution for those who want to learn the essence of wine . It gives high quality courses leading to caviste/sommelier diploma . CIDD states for "Centre d'Information , de Documentation et de Degustation" and was founded by A. Segelle in 1982 . He is one of the most revered specialists for his expertise on wine . This march 2nd event was with 9 producers , all with organic wines (vins biologiques) . A lot of people there , as quality and authenticity are what people and connoisseurs increasingly ask .

Too much good wines to taste them all . Even with special containers to spit or empty the glasses , it was better to select . This interesting Beaujolais 2002 was made by "maceration (soaking) semi-carbonique" and with very little sulfite . It has only 11 ° and must be transported and stored with care . Not exported . This is from producer Thierry Doat and it costs Euro 5.10 . Most surprising , I think , were the wines from Domaine Gassac , located in these innovative regions of southern France , Languedoc Roussillon . All the wines I tasted there left me good impressions . I took three bottles of " Cuvee du Manpot " 2001 , a rich wine with strong cassis (blackcurrant) flavor .
